In administrative building, room 123, December 12th, 2018, 1:30 p.m. the activity “Inculcation of SME( the fourth phase ) ·youthful teachers telling stories of striving” was held successfully. Tianan Yang, associate professor of Department of Organization and Human Resource Management, together with 20 undergraduates, got involved in the activity. Themed “Objective, Dream and Plan”, the lecture consisted of Yang’s personal story, his life in Germany, and academic research.
The importance of a clear goal was first mentioned. Professor Yang took the lecture as an example, trying to tell students a clear goal is the key to making every time of activity participant meaningful and valuable.
Then, professor Yang shared his learning experience in Germany in detail. In this part, Yang used Yiming Wei, the dean and professor of the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, as an example to teach students “ to be strict with yourselves, to be confident and to learn from other people.”
In the end, Yang emphasized the importance of a good plan. “When there’s a gap between you and other excellent people, all you can do is to spend more effort,” he said, “the more you work for your dream, the better you will become.”
