 On the morning of May 6th, [Mingli Lecture Hall 2022 Issue 26] was honored to invite Professor Zhang Cunbing from Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan to give an academic report entitled "Environmental performance, green finance and green innovation: What's the long-run relationships among variables?" . Professor Hao Yu, head of the Department of Applied Economics, School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, presided over the report. Affected by the epidemic, this report will be held online. Teachers and postgraduates from the School of Management and Economics participated in the report.

  In the report, Professor Zhang Cunbing first introduced the research background of environmental performance and the impact of green finance on green innovation, and then used the annual data of 57 developing countries from 2002 to 2016 to empirically test the environment through CADF unit root test and cointegration test. The relationship between performance, green finance and green innovation. Panel cointegration test shows that there is a direct long-term cointegration relationship between environmental performance, green finance and green innovation. Long-term PMG estimates show that environmental performance has a positive impact on green innovation in the long run, including non-emerging countries and countries with better green innovation or environmental performance. In addition, green finance has a positive impact on green innovation in emerging market countries and countries with low levels of green finance, while it has a negative impact on green innovation in green innovation or countries with better environmental performance.
  After the report, Professor Zhang Cunbing conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with the participating teachers and students on issues related to the report.
