【Mingli Lecture 2021, Issue 59】Professor Zhao Lin from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics was invited to visit

On November 25th, we were honored to invite Professor Zhao Lin from the School of Business Administration of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics to give us an academic report titled "Quantitative Behavior Management". Mr. Zhu Bin from School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology introduced Ms. Zhao Lin and presided over the report.

Ms. Zhao first introduced the research on quantitative behavior management from both individual and social levels. The focus of behavior management is to discover and model a series of behavioral rules in individual decision making. Then, with three examples of investment, consumption and production decisions, Mr. Zhao introduced the background of the problem and the modeling process in detail, showing the application of quantitative behavior in life. Finally, Mr. Zhao introduced his research results, which showed that human behavior is measurable, optimized and programmable. The modeling of these behavior rules, combined with relatively mature operations research, can provide fine quantitative means for the management of individual behavior.

Zhao Lin's report fully aroused the interest and enthusiasm of the teachers and students. After the report, the teachers and students actively communicated and interacted with Zhao. The report was warmly received and praised by the teachers and students.
