On February 28,2023, the eighth lecture of "Master Lecture Hall-Graduate Education Reform and Innovation Lecture Series" was held at room 317 of the main building. Professor Jiang Xianling, dean of the School of International Studies of University of International Business and Economics, doctoral supervisor of the Organization Department of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" of the CPC and famous teacher of Beijing, was invited to give a teaching lecture entitled "Discipline Construction and Teacher Professional Growth". Dean Wang Zhaohua, Secretary Yan Zhijun, Vice Dean Tang Zhaojun, Zhang Xiang and more than 20 teachers from the School participated in the lecture. The lecture was hosted by Associate Professor Deng Jianwei.
In this lecture, Professor Jiang Xianling first explained the new mission of education development in the new era from a macro perspective. In this context, Professor Jiang Xianling pointed out that the graduate programs and specialty construction should break the discipline barriers and build interdisciplinary platform; secondly, innovate the talent training mode and cultivate compound talents; finally, target the national strategic demand to promote the social development of the economic region.
After the lecture, the atmosphere was warm. The teachers had an in-depth exchange with Professor Jiang on how to prepare the teaching achievement award, how to select excellent teaching materials and the construction of all English courses.
