On November 24th, the 14th Five-Year Plan Conference of Beijing Institute of Technology and the sixth Congress of the Association for Science and Technology was held in the Gymnasium of Zhongguancun Campus. A total of 16 official representatives from our school attended the conference.
The conference comprehensively summarized the science and technology work of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the main work of the Association for Science and Technology, and systematically deployed the key tasks for scientific and technological innovation and the work of Science and Technology Association during the 14th Five-Year Plan.The conference read out the "decision on commending the advanced units, advanced teams and advanced individuals in the scientific and technological work of the 13th Five-Year Plan of Beijing Institute of Technology".Our school was awarded the Advanced Unit, the energy and environmental policy research team was awarded the Advanced Team, Professor Wang Zhaohua, Professor Tang Baojun and Professor Wang Ke were awarded the Advanced Science and Technology Worker, and the scientific research officer Wang Xiaozhu was awarded the Advanced Management Worker.
After the conference, the school deeply understood the spirit of the conference and thought deeply about the development path.Looking forward to the "14th Five-Year Plan", the school will continue to cast the soul of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, resolutely implement the development strategy determined by the 15th Party Congress of the University, face the major strategic needs, integrate resources, strengthen the advantages, and highlight the distinctive needs of the Party and the country.With a better management structure, organizational mode and mechanism system, we should improve the research level, strengthen the mission responsibility, build an innovation platform, stimulate the innovation vitality, build a high-end think tank, and strengthen scientific and technological cooperation, so as to promote the high-quality development of school undertakings and accelerate the construction of "double first-class"!
