Recently, the research "Financing strategies for a capital-constrained manufacturer in a dual-channel supply chain", jointly conducted by Professor Li Guo and PhD student Wu Huamin of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, was awarded by the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) the 2021 IFORS-ITOR-Wiley Best Paper Award. It is an important embodiment of the high level and high quality research achievements in our school. Doctoral student Wu Huamin, as the representative of the winning paper, was invited to deliver a keynote report at the winning paper conference organized by the International Federation of Operations Societies (IFORS), which was co-chaired by Professor Janny Leung, vice president of the International Federation of Operations Societies, and Professor Ceiso Ribeiro, chief editor of ITOR.
As an innovative financial service mode, supply chain finance is an important means to build a new development pattern, promote the coordinated development of the industrial chain, and relieve the financing problems of small and micro enterprises. In view of the supply chain enterprise financing strategy choice, the winning paper indicatively constructs a competitive suppliers and capital constraints manufacturers double channel supply chain structure, pioneering put forward three different supply chain financing strategies, analyzes the influence of realistic business factors like consumer product preference, interest rate and equity financing ratio on supply chain enterprise financing decision, enriches the supply chain finance theory research, provides a practical theoretical guidance for the real supply chain enterprise financing strategy selection.
